GENEVA, N.Y. (NASCENT) — Police are investigating a stabbing that left a 27-year-old man with serious upper-body wounds early Friday morning. Officers responded to Geneva General Hospital around 1 a.m., where the victim said he was attacked at a business on Seneca Street. The man, who could not describe his assailant, is expected to recover.

Authorities believe the incident was isolated and poses no ongoing threat to the public. Detectives are pursuing leads, and the state Liquor Authority is aiding in the investigation. Police urge anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward.
